Over the past few years, the need to hire college
graduates directly from campus has been very volatile. Many organizations
have significantly cut back on their campus recruiting programs
and staff, and are now attempting to reestablish their foothold
on campus with the hire of new campus recruiters.
It’s well known that campus recruiting is an effective and cost
efficient way of attracting new talent to an organization. Newly
minted undergraduate- and graduate-degreed employees bring great
value to an organization. New employees are very loyal and, through
their contacts still in college, can help feed the pipeline for
the next recruiting campaign.
Now that the economic outlook is brightening and labor markets are
beginning to tighten, organizations need to jump-start their campus
recruiting to increase the flow of candidates and meet new hiring
goals. Merely renting a booth at a college job fair is simply not
enough to successfully recruit the best and brightest.
